Pandrol tie plates for 100 lb rail are specifically designed for rail sections like 100 RA (ARA-A), which typically have a 5-1/2" base width. While larger 6" base plates are common for heavy-haul, the 100 lb rail class often utilizes the 15-inch plate series.

• Part Number TPL-P54RB: A 7" x 15-3/16" rolled steel plate specifically for 100 RB (100-8) rail sections.

• Punching: Typically features six 1-1/16" round holes for flexible fastening options.

• Cant: Standard 1:40 inward slope to ensure optimal wheel-to-rail contact.

• Weight: Approximately 23.4 lbs (based on standard 15" punched plates).

Fastening Compatibility

These plates are engineered for use with Pandrol resilient fasteners, which replace traditional cut spikes to improve gauge holding: 

• e-Clip System: The most common pairing, consisting of the clip, a cast shoulder (swaged to the plate), and a rail pad.

• Victor Baseplate System: For higher-stress areas, the Victor system uses rolled steel plates with swaged shoulders to provide a larger load-bearing area, which is critical for extending the life of wood ties under 100 lb rail.

• Spike Options: Plates can be ordered with standard square punching (11/16") for cut spikes or round punching (typically 1") for screw spikes.
