System Components

A full Pandrol PR clip assembly typically includes:

• Rail Clip: The key component made of high-quality, rough-finished spring steel, driven parallel to the rail to provide clamping force.

• Tie Plate / Baseplate: A metal plate fixed to the sleeper to which the rail clip assembly is attached.

• Rail Pad: An elastic or rubber pad placed between the rail and the tie plate/sleeper to reduce vibration and absorb impact.

• Rail Insulator: A plastic component (typically PA66+30%GF) used in electrified railways to provide electrical insulation and help position the rail.

• Screw Spikes/Dog Spikes: Used to anchor the baseplate to the sleeper.
