The Spike Screw SS8 is a specialized high-strength fastener primarily used in railway track construction to anchor rails to either wooden or concrete sleepers. It is a critical component of the rail fastening system, designed to provide more than twice the holding power of conventional hammered dog spikes.

The SS8 model is part of the "Ss" series manufactured according to international standards such as UIC864-1 and AS1085.18.
